Raleigh Named 2022 Notable Military Veteran Executive

TCB’s 2022 Notable Military Veteran Executives have transferred leadership skills they developed serving our country to civilian jobs in industries ranging from fitness, food, and construction to government, technology, finance, and law. The 25 individuals have served our country in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and National Guard; some are still active members of the National Guard or military reserves. They also lend their time and expertise to organizations that support fellow veterans and service members.

“I am honored to be included in this great group of fellow veterans. The discipline we learned, and the dedication we bring to our communities, are part of the servant leadership that is the hallmark of our great country. Veteran. Servant. Leader. We live it every day.” stated Donald Raleigh.

In their announcement of this list of Notables, Twin Cities Business Magazine (tcbmag.com/notable/donald-raleigh) wrote, “In 2002, Donald Raleigh formed Evolve Systems in St. Paul with his wife, Marnie Ochs-Raleigh, to serve the small to mid-sized Minnesota business community with digital services. In addition to Evolve Systems, Raleigh also founded Evolve Payment, a merchant services agency that prioritizes bringing ethics and trust back into merchant processing.

After identifying a unique gap in the market, he created and developed AdaptrPay, software that gives merchants control over their customer data and addresses the risks associated with transferring processors. Raleigh served eight years of active duty in the Army, as a guard for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and as a presidential guard for Ronald Reagan. Today, he’s an active member of the veteran community, including the VFW (Veterans of Foreign War), and is a lifetime member and color guard at his local Lino Lakes American Legion Chapter.”

Donald Raleigh is running for election in House District 32B which covers the cities of Lexington and the southern half of Blaine, Minnesota. Raleigh is currently serving in his first term representing Blaine, Lexington, Circle Pines, Centerville, Lino Lakes, and Hugo.

CARE-PAC Endorses Raleigh

CARE-PAC Endorses Raleigh

CARE-PAC, the political action committee for Care Providers of Minnesota, recently endorsed Donald W Raleigh for election to the Minnesota House in District 32B. Raleigh’s support of – and interest in – long-term care for the growing senior demographic was the primary reason he earned the CARE-PAC endorsement.

“Our dedicated long-term care professionals are proud to support Donald W Raleigh,” said Patti Cullen, President & CEO of Care Providers of Minnesota. “Raleigh understands our state’s long-term care issues, the need to expand our workforce, and the personal financing challenges facing seniors receiving long-term care services and supports. In addition, he has a deep commitment to maintaining Minnesota’s reputation for high-quality long-term care – wherever that care is provided.”

Cullen stated: “It is essential that our elected officials commit to funding the needs of our seniors so that providers can continue to provide the quality of care that our seniors deserve and expect. With 60,000 Minnesotans turning 65 every year for the next 15 years, it is critical that our elected officials prioritize funding for senior care in their work. Nursing facilities, assisted living settings, and home care providers struggle to hire experienced, quality caregivers in their settings – caregivers who are the cornerstone to providing quality care for Minnesota’s seniors. It is up to lawmakers to invest in these jobs and the caregiving profession for today’s seniors and the 25% of Minnesota adults who will be age 65 or older in the next decade.”

“We are excited to endorse Donald W Raleigh to continue supporting caregivers and quality care and to continue our partnership with elected officials into the future.”

Established in 1947, Care Providers of Minnesota is a nonprofit membership association with the mission to Lead members to Excellence. our 900+ members across Minnesota represent nonprofit and for-profit organizations providing services along the full spectrum of care. We are the state affiliate for the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living, and with our national partners, we provide solutions for quality care. Representative Raleigh joins Blaine Police for Evening Ride Along

The Blaine Police department has a long history of working closely in the community and providing ride along events with citizens and elected officials is an important step in building relationships. Rep. Raleigh worked with Chief Brian Podany and Sergeant Mike Rygg to schedule the ride along.

Our Blaine police department is out in our community every day. They are our protectors, our civil servants. They are true professionals in every way.

Rep Donald Raleigh, Blaine

This is not the first time that Rep Raleigh has worked with the Blaine police department. A graduate of the 2016 Blaine Citizens academy, Raleigh learned first hand how the department works to provide safety to our community.

“For me it is not just about the badge and the uniform. I have worked closely with the department over the 26 years that I have been a resident of Blaine. From providing security services while the commander of the Anoka County Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, to working with officers during ICS 300 & 400 training, the department has consummate professionals up and down the ranks.” said Raleigh.

Recently Raleigh and Sergeant Villegas rode together for Night to Unite. It is that type of close interaction that makes the relationship between our police and elected officials work.

Sergeant Wesley Villegas, Blaine Police Department

Rep Raleigh will be posting pictures and his perspective on the ride along as a follow up to this post.
